Minister Ndebele to sign search and rescue agreement with Uruguay, Mauritius, Zimbabwe and Swaziland

Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele, together with his counterparts from Uruguay, Mauritius, Swaziland and Zimbabwe, will sign search and rescue bilateral agreements in Pretoria on Friday.

The main purpose of these agreements is to foster cooperation and coordination in the provision search and rescue services between South Africa and countries bordering on its search and rescue area of responsibility. This will make it easier for all these countries to execute their rescue missions and rely on each other for assistance and support.
