Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele will announce the 2011/12 festive season road traffic statistics on Monday, 16 January 2012 in Pretoria.
The Minister will also announce plans to intensify road safety in line with the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011 to 2020.
Minister Ndebele will also hand over the Torch of Peace to the Department of Basic Education, as part of the Safer Schools Campaign as schools reopen for the 2012 academic year.
