Minister Ndebele to release 2010/11 festive season road traffic statistics

Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele will announce the 2010/11 preliminary festive season road traffic statistics as well as plans to intensify the National Rolling Enforcement Plan and Make Roads Safe Campaign in line with the United Nations' Decade of Action against Road Deaths from 2011 to 2020. This is in further commitment to reducing the carnage on South Africa's roads.

Minister Ndebele will also hand over the Torch of Peace to Minister of Basic Education, Ms. Angie Motshekga as part of the Safer Schools Campaign as schools reopen for 2011.
