Minister Ndebele joins women’s day prayer session in Soweto

The Minister of Correctional Services Sibusiso Ndebele invites all media to join him at a prayer session and a women's day event to be held with women from various religious denominations in celebration of women’s month.

The event is a joint venture between the Parliamentary Constituency Office, the New Soweto Community Projects and the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) and forms part of DCS’ Women’s Month programme. It is celebrated under the theme “56 Years of Women United Against Poverty, Inequality and Unemployment”.

The Minister is expected to deliver a key note address. This event is subsequent to the Minister’s launch of the Department of Correctional Services Women’s Network to be held on Friday, 24 August 2012 in Bloemfontein, Free State. The launch of the network seeks to assist women officials in a quest to overcome the challenges that they come across within the department.
