Minister Michael Masutha briefs media on outcomes of parole applications of political offenders, 2 Nov

Justice and Correctional Services Minister, Adv. Michael Masutha, will provide an update to the media on the parole applications of political offenders on Monday 2 November 2015 in Pietermaritzburg.

On 15 September 2015, during his visit to Westville Correctional Centre in KwaZulu-Natal, Minister Masutha informed the media that he was in the process of finalising parole recommendations for approximately 33 political offenders who were serving sentences for politically motivated crimes. On Monday the Minister is expected to announce his decision on these parole applications. Offenders who will be placed on parole will also attend the briefing.
