On Wednesday, 26 October 2011, Dr Ivan Meyer, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport in the Western Cape will visit one of the Western Cape Government's Sport MOD (mass participation, opportunity, and development) centres at Isikhokelo Primary School in Khayelithsa.
The MOD centre programme is a pilot project by the Western Cape Government aimed at growing sporting talent among our youth, preventing anti-social behaviour, and allowing the youth to have fun by participating in after-school sport.
Minister Meyer will be visiting the MOD centre as part of his oversight role to ensure the success of the project.
