The Minister of Labour, the Honourable Mildred Oliphant, will tomorrow, 6 September 2011 address the members of the Food and Allied Workers Union on the occasion of their national congress.
In her address, the minister is expected to cover topics including the plight of vulnerable workers and sectoral determination, labour brokers, International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions and ratification processes and the plight of sea-going fishers not covered by Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), labour law amendments.
She is expected to deliver her address at 09h00 at the Parktonian in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
