The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana Mashabane, will hold diplomatic consultations with her Namibian counterpart, Mr Utoni Nujoma, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Namibia, on Monday, 15 October 2012, in Pretoria.
The meeting between the two Ministers takes place ahead of the November 2012 State Visit to South Africa by the President of Namibia.
Bilateral cooperation between South Africa and Namibia spans a wide range of areas including, but not limited to, trade and investment; defence and security; energy; transport; agriculture; water and environment; as well as health and education.
South African companies have a large presence in Namibia and are involved in various sectors such as housing; food and beverages; construction; retail; hotels and leisure; banking; and medical services.
