Dr Sam Motsuenyane Rural Development Foundation (RDF) invites members of the media to the RDF Launch to be held on Friday, 29 October 2010 at the South African Reserve Bank Conference Centre in Pretoria.
The Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Mr Gugile Nkwinti will be amongst the guest speakers who will address the gathering. In addition, Judge Dikgang Moseneke, Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court will also address the meeting. RDF was created and designed to address the needs and challenges which presently impede the development of rural communities in South Africa, more especially in the agricultural sector.
In partnership with Tshwane University of Technology, the national Department of Rural Development and Land Reform and PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Foundation will empower rural farming communities by offering skills development, mentoring and advisory services, conducting ongoing research into the challenges they face, mobilizing financial, technical and other resources, administering grants and establishing partnership with like-minded organisations.
