Today, Western Cape Education MEC, Donald Grant will accept the “Torch of Peace” from Eastern Cape MEC Mahlubandile Qwase.
The torch was originally lit in 2006, and is now being passed around to each of the provincial Education MECs with the theme: “Education Lighting the Torch to Create Safe and Caring Schools: Don’t Look Away, Act Against Violence in Schools.”
