Minister Gigaba to embark on Provincial Engagement visit to Free State

The Minister of Public Enterprises, Mr Malusi Gigaba will on Friday lead a team of CEOs of State Owned Companies in his portfolio on a Provincial Engagement with the Free State Government.

Minister Gigaba will be accompanied by his Deputy, Mr Dikobe Ben Martins and Director General, Mr Tshediso Matona. Minister Gigaba will also be joined by Transnet CEO, Mr Brian Molefe, Eskom CEO, Mr Brian Dames, SAA CEO, Ms Siza Mzimela and Broadband Infraco acting CE, Dr Andrew Shaw and the Department’s senior officials.

Minister Gigaba will meet with the Free State Premier, Mr Ace Magashule and his provincial MECs and senior officials.

The visit to the Free State is part of Minister Gigaba’s Provincial Stakeholder Engagement plan, which seeks to ensure that plans of state owned companies are aligned to provincial growth strategies and other economic development initiatives.

To date, Minister Gigaba has already held discussions with provincial governments of Gauteng, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, North West and KwaZulu-Natal.
