Minister Edna Molewa to speak at public lecture on South Africa’s response to climate change

Ms Edna Molewa, the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs will deliver the key note address at the University of Johannesburg’s Public Forum, today, 20 October 2011.

Minister Molewa will address the public forum on South Africa’s Response to Climate Change. The Minister is the Head of the South African Delegation for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, 17th Conference of the Parties (UNFCCC COP17) and in this role, she is entrusted with the responsibility of leading the country’s delegation in pursuing its interests at the negotiations.

Other speakers include Professor Harold Annegarn of the University of Johannesburg who will address the forum on the Universities response to climate change and Professor Bheki Mamba of University of Johannesburg who will speak on the Impact of Climate Change on Water Scarcity and Water Quality.
