Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Ms Edna Molewa invites media to a technical briefing and site visit followed by a media briefing on progress being made in dealing with acid mine drainage in the Western Basin (West Rand).
The Minister will be accompanied by technical staff and experts from the Department who will give in depth analysis on the situation, current activities, financial implications and future plans.
In addition media will be taken on a site visit to the Rand Uranium Treatment Works where acid mine water is being treated currently as part of the short-term solution.
