Home Affairs Minister, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will tomorrow, Saturday, 18 July 2009, observe the inaugural annual Mandela Day by donating and help install a solar geyser heating system at the Sithabile Child and Youth Care Centre in Cloverdene, Benoni.
The solar geysers system was awarded as a prize to the department for winning the Government Communicator of the Year Award last year. It will benefit vulnerable children, including orphans and victims of abuse housed at the centre.
As part of the programme, departmental officials will provide advice on services and on how to register births and apply for identity documents (IDs) for children and young people needing them.
