Minister Dlamini Zuma to pay working visit to Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal

Durban: Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, will tomorrow, Monday, 3 August visit Umzimkhulu area of Kwazulu-Natal, as part of ongoing visits to various Home Affairs provincial offices to assess the quality of service levels to members of the public. Minister Dlamini Zuma will be accompanied during the visit by the regional and local Mayors.

In this regard, the visit Umzimkhulu was occasioned by complaints from members of the public regarding the quality of services being rendered by the office in the area and an appeal to Minister Dlamini Zuma to intervene.

Accordingly, Minister Dlamini Zuma will hold a meeting with members of the Umzimkhulu community to hear their grievances before holding a further meeting with officials of the Home affairs department responsible for administration of the Umzimkhulu offices to map the way forward out of the current challenges to ensure proper services to the community and create customer satisfaction.

Minister Dlamini Zuma has since appointment to the new portfolio visited the Nyanga Refugeee Camp and the Cape Town Regional offices, Durban Regional Office, Bloemfontein and the Beaufort West offices and intends visiting all other remaining provincial and regional Home affairs offices.
