As part of government’s ongoing efforts to improve service delivery in disadvantaged communities, the Minister of Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini will embark on a community outreach programme in Kanyamazane, Mpumalanga province, as follows:

The Minister will also participate in the provincial launch of the Charter on the Rights of Older Persons as part of promoting the rights of older persons across the country.
Minister Dlamini will talk about how government is supporting initiatives to combat alcohol and substance abuse as well as measures to eradicate poverty and unemployment through community development programmes.
The Minister will be accompanied by the MEC for Education, Ms Regina Mhaule and other senior government leaders. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), National Development Agency (NDA) and other government departments will render services and provide information to members of the public.
