Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, will on Thursday, 2 August 2012 hold a media briefing at Summer Place Boutique Hotel in Germiston (Ekurhuleni) on the following issues:
- Report back the Auditor-General’s findings
- Report back on South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) re-registration process
- Report back on NPO National Dialogues.

After the media briefing, Minister Dlamini will meet with the Members of the Executive Council (MECs) responsible for Social Development from all nine provinces.
The main purpose of this forum is to ensure consultation and coordination in implementing the national priorities and achieving the national goals. The meeting will focus on a number of key policy issues and service delivery.
On Friday, 3 August 2012, Minister and the MECs will also conduct outreach programme and visit community development projects in Brakpan and Daveyton .
