Minister of Social Development Ms Bathabile Dlamini will table the Department’s 2011 Budget Vote speech to the National Council of Provinces as follows:

The budget vote will focus on key deliverables and outputs that the Department of Social Development and its entities will focus on for the fiscal year 2011/12. These include measures to combat the scourge of alcohol and substance abuse, comprehensive social security, measures to combat fraud and corruption relating to social grants, Early Childhood Development (ECD) campaign, youth development and programmes to promote active ageing.
