The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies, will launch the Production Incentive (PI) that forms part of the overall Clothing and Textile Competitiveness Programme (CTCP).

The CTCP comprises the following elements:
- The Capital and Technology Upgrading Programme
- The Preferential Financing Scheme
- The Clothing and Textile Competitiveness Improvement Programme (CTCIP)
- The Production Incentive Programme
Minister Davies says that the main objective of the CTCP is to create a group of globally competitive clothing and textile companies and ensure a sustainable environment that will retain and grow employment levels.
The Clothing and Textile Competitiveness Programme (CTCP) is applicable to not only the Clothing and Textile but also to the Footwear, Leather and Leather Goods Sectors.
The launch will be attended by different industry role players.
