The MCEP is a new incentive and a key component of the Industrial Participation Action Plan3. The programme provides enhanced manufacturing support aimed at encouraging manufacturers to upgrade their production facilities in a matter that sustains employment and maximises value-addition in the short to medium term. The launch of the programme will be followed by a roll-out in all the provinces before applications open at the beginning of June.
