The Minister of Communications, Mr Radhakrishna Padayachie (Roy), will meet with the captains of the top 30 information and communication technology (ICT) companies in South Africa.
In his media briefing held 11 November 2010, Minister Padayachie made an undertaking to convene a roundtable discussion with CEOs and Chairpersons of the top 30 ICT companies as a way of building and strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors.
The focus of the roundtable discussion will be to develop a long term vision of the ICT sector, the forging of partnerships between the Ministry and Department of Communications and the private sector including the basis on which it is constructed, as well as the work programme for job creation.
