Minister Collins Chabane to launch the Tshirunzini Water Project

Minister in The Presidency for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation will on Friday, 2nd of December launch the Tshirunzini Water Project in Tshirunzini village in Limpopo province.

Tshirunzini water project is delivered by SAB Limited to supply clean water to the community of Tshirunzini. It is a sustainable water provision project to supply clean running water using solar energy and increased water storage. SAB Limited implemented the project after receiving a project proposal from Chief Jonas Tshikundamalema. Tshirunzini village is a poverty striken community with 47 households with a 95% unemployment rate.

Minister Chabane will officiate at the handing over ceremony of an aditional borehole and a bigger storage tank with an alternative sustainable energy sources through solar energy.

The Minister will further handover food hampers for 47 needy families, hippo rollers and school uniforms to needy children donated by SAB Limited. This is a poverty alleviation project launched by SAB Limited in the area.
