Minister Chabane to open the African Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop

The Department for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation will be hosting an African Monitoring and Evaluation workshop with African counterparts across the continent. The workshop’s aim is to share experiences of the application of Performance Monitoring and Evaluation among Africans and the international counterparts.

Minister in the Presidency for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, Collins Chabane will deliver the opening address at the workshop and share with Monitoring and Evaluation practitioners the South African experience since 2009. The Minister will also share experiences and challenges in the implementation of the twelve outcomes in South Africa.

The workshop will be attended by representatives from the Republics of Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Benin, Ghana, and Senegal. Also in attendance will be development partners from the European Union, GIZ, World Bank and the CLEAR Initiative and international counterparts from Malaysia and Colombia. The partners also include the Wits Graduate School of Public and Development Management (P&DM), who are the local anchor for the CLEAR Initiative.
