Minister Carlisle announces results of department’s Safely Home campaign

Robin Carlisle, the Minister for Transport and Public Works will tomorrow announce his department’s Safely Home Campaign achievements over the past two years.

Minister Carlisle will be joined by Provincial Health Minister Theuns Botha, City of Cape Town Community Safety Mayco Member JP Smith, Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa, and other Safely Home partners. South African Police Service Provincial Commissioner General Lamoer has also been invited.

Minister Carlisle will release stats on road deaths from January 2009 until the end of October 2011, as well as a forecast showing whether his goal of a 50% reduction on road fatalities by 2014 is achievable.
