Minister Bonginkosi to hand over Habitat for Humanity Houses in Jamestown, Stellenbosch, Western Cape

Western Cape Human Settlements Minister Bonginkosi Madikizela will hand over a house built by Habitat for Humanity South Africa (HFHSA) and a local farm owner, Mrs Virginia Povall.

HFHSA is a non-profit, grassroots organisation committed to providing decent housing for the poor. Mrs Povall approached HFHSA to partner with her to provide houses for some of her farm workers, who had devoted their lives to working for her.

Minister Madikizela, and the Department of Human Settlements, support any initiatives to provide housing for those in need, including partnerships between different organisations.

Take the N2 towards Somerset West. Take the Baden Powell R310 off ramp and turn left onto the Baden Powell R310. Continue straight until the traffic lights at the Total Petrol Station. Turn right at the traffic lights into Annandale Road. Continue on this road until the traffic light crossing with the R44.

Turn left onto the R44. At the next set of traffic lights, with the De Zalze Gild estate on the left and BMW showroom on the right, turn right into Jamestown Main Road. At the second circle turn right. Continue straight, at the four way stop continue straight over. The road bends to the right, the six newly built units are on the corner on the left. You will see the Habitat for Humanity South Africa branding.
