The Minister for Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, will present his department’s Budget Vote Speech for the 2011/12 financial year in Parliament on Thursday, 26 May 2011.
Minister Nzimande, together with the Deputy Minister for Higher Education and Training, Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize, as well as senior departmental officials will address a pre-budget media briefing to explain the key outcomes and highlights of the speech.
In his budget speech, the Minister will outline the key deliverables for his department. He will also map out his vision and programmes for the coming three years, with a particular emphasis on skills provision and the transformation of the higher education landscape in South Africa.
