Minister for Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Higher Education and Training Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize and senior departmental officials will hold a media briefing ahead of his Budget Vote speech to explain the key outcomes and highlights of the speech.
Minister Nzimande, will present his department’s Budget Vote speech for the 2011/12 financial year in Parliament on Thursday, 26 May 2011.
In his budget speech, the Minister will outline the key deliverables for his department. He will also map out his vision and programmes for the coming three years, with a particular emphasis on skills provision and the transformation of the higher education landscape in South Africa.
