Minister for Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, will hold a ground-breaking meeting with all Chairpersons of Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) on Tuesday 29 November 2011. The following issues will be discussed:
- Governance in the SETAs
- Performance Targets of the SETAs in line with the Minister’s Outcome 5 Delivery Agreement
- Framework for Service Level Agreements and Sector Skills Plans
The meeting comes a few days after the National Assembly passed the Skills Development Amendment Bill in Parliament last week.
Chairpersons of the country’s 21 SETAs are expected to attend.
Members of the Media are invited to attend the opening and keynote address of the Minister, after which short interviews may be conducted:
