Minister Blade Nzimande to address the National Skills Conference

The National skills Authority is convening the national skills conference which will be attended by stakeholders in the post school education and training system on 4 to 5 October 2011 under the theme “Investing in skills to secure a better future for all”.

The Minister for Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, will on Tuesday the 4 October 2011, deliver a keynote address during the National Skills Conference.

The conference objective includes the following topics:

  • The role of Seta’s and skills development models
  • Promote youth, women and people with disability in productive work for inclusive growth
  • Strengthening skills development in a post school system including work integration
  • The role of Quality councils
  • Deepening understanding of National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III) and National Skills Fund (NSF) framework for effective implementation and monitoring.

The Minister will visit the exhibition area where Universities, FET colleges both public and private, government departments, business organisations and other organisations will be showcasing their role in deepening the skills revolution.
