The Minister for Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande will on Tuesday, 23 August 2011, deliver a keynote address during the Annual General Meeting of Swiss-South African Cooperation Initiative (SSACI).
SSACI is a public private partnership in development between a group of Swiss Companies trading in South Africa and the Swiss Government’s International Agency for Development Cooperation. SSACI is currently providing financial and technical support to vocational training and job creation projects aimed at disadvantaged South African youth.
Minister Nzimande is particularly passionate about the dual track approach to learning which is currently amongst the best models within the Vocational education and training sector and he has long emphasised the need to strengthen relationsbetween SSACI and the Department of Higher Education and Training.
