The Minister for Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, will address the launch of the KwaZulu-Natal Inter-Seta Forum, as well as officiate at the signing ceremony of the KwaZulu-Natal Inter-Seta Collaboration with the Provincial Public Further Education and Training Colleges (KZN FET) tomorrow, Wednesday, 3 August 2011 in Durban, at 11h00.
There will be a signing ceremony and an adoption of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Minister, the sector education and training authorities (SETAs), further education and training (FET) colleges and the eThekwinin Municipality.
The Mayor of the eThekwini Municipality, Councillor James Nxumalo, and the Chairperson of the KwaZulu-Natal Inter-Seta Forum, Mr Frank Ingram, as well as the Chairperson of the SETA CEO Forum, Mr Joel Dikgole will also address the gathering. To be attended by hundreds of delegates from throughout the province of KwaZulu-Natal, this landmark gathering will discuss a variety of issues affecting the Seta landscape.
In his keynote address, Minister Nzimande will map out his vision for the future SETA landscape as well as his programme to transform this important sector. All media are invited to attend.
