Members of the media are invited to the launch of the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) Human Resource (HR) Solution by the Minister for Public Service and Administration, Mr Richard Baloyi.
The IFMS is a joint initiative between the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA), National Treasury and the State Information Technology Agency (SITA). The system integrates and modernises information technology systems that support human resource management, supply chain and financial management in the Public Service.
Current systems such as PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS and Vulindlela will over the next few years be replaced by the IFMS.
The HR solution supports processes that include recruitment, employee movement, performance management, leave management, labour relations and exit management.
The implementation of IFMS will ensure an improved capacity of the public service to better manage its human resources through the automation and standardisation of HR processes.
