Public Service and Administration Minister, Mr Richard Baloyi, accompanied by the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Health, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, will tomorrow embark on unannounced site visits to service delivery institutions within the KwaZulu-Natal health sector.
The visits are part of an outreach programme by Minister Baloyi, to undertake on the Batho Pele impact assessment. The visits will afford government an opportunity to improve service delivery, by identifying areas of deficiency in delivering services to our citizens.
The focus of the unannounced site visits will be on both internal and external clients, these being, public service officials and citizens as recipients of public services. It is through this programme that public officials demonstrate the seriousness, with which service delivery is viewed, as well as provide support and encouragement to the public servants who are crucial in delivering services to the people.
The visits will culminate in an engagement session with the public servants.
