Minister Baloyi and Premier Modiselle on public participation in North West

Public Service and Administration Minister, Mr Masenyani Richard Baloyi and North West Premier Maureen Modiselle will, as part of the national imbizo week, embark on a public participation drive in the North West province.

The focus of the public participation will be on the consultation element of Batho Pele. The principle of consultation as part of the eight Batho Pele principles requires that citizens be consulted about the level and quality of the public services they receive and wherever possible should be given a choice about the services that are offered.

As part of the programme, various government service delivery institutions will be visited.

Ensuring an intensive consultative process, the Minister and Premier will also embark on door to door visits which will culminate in an imbizo. These initiatives are part of government’s broader program of attending to and addressing service delivery concerns of members of the community.
