Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Mr Richard Baloyi will tomorrow address members of the academia at a consultative forum on “My Public Service, My Future” campaign.
The consultative forum convened by the Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA) is part of government’s efforts to foster cooperation with the academia, building social solidarity in the context of a social partnership, and co-ownership of the future.
The “My Public Service, My Future” campaign seeks to accelerate employer-employee contact and information-sharing; provide opportunities for reflections on the general issues around the state at which public servants work and are compensated; reflect on expectations and rights of citizens against the services that our public servants are delivering; and engage on the role of civil society, academia, traditional institutions, legislative bodies, Institutions supporting constitutional democracy, and others, in answering questions related to the state of our public servants.
Members of the media are invited for the opening remarks of the forum as well as an interaction with Minister Baloyi following the session.
The consultative forum will be hosted as follows:
Date: Friday, 26 August 2011
Time: 09h00 until 12h30
