Minister attends a ruling on a woman murdered by her live-in partner

Minister for Women, Children and People with Disabilities Ms Lulu Xingwana will tomorrow Friday, 2 December be at Protea Magistrate Court in Soweto where a man charged with killing and removing body parts of her live-in partner is going to be sentenced.

Minister Xingwana visited the family of Moji Tsekedi in Jabavu, Soweto after she was allegedly murdered by her partner, Wanda Nkosi, in May this year. According to the family, Tsekedi disappeared for four days after an argument with her partner. Her body was found in the couple’s shack with several wounds, including cuts on wrists and ankles and her eyes removed.

Minister’s attendance of the court proceedings tomorrow is aimed a highlighting the effects of domestic violence on women as part of the programme for 16 Days of Activism Campaign on No Violence Against Women and Children.
