Memorial service for seven police officials fatally injured in helicopter crash

The South African Police Service will host a memorial service for the seven members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) Air Wing and National Intervention Unit who lost their lives on Friday, 23 July 2010 in a helicopter accident.

The Minister and Deputy Minister of Police and the National Commissioner of SAPS will be among those in attendance.

The details of the memorial service are as follows:

Date: Thursday, 29 July 2010
Time: 09h30 for 10h00
Venue: Hatfield Christian Church, 200 Corobay Avenue, Waterkloof Glen, Pretoria

The members being honoured are Colonel Teboho Percy Maduna, Captain Wikus Zaayman, Warrant Officer Colin Edward Davids, Warrant Officer Dirk Cornelis van Aswegen, Warrant Officer Tinus Gouws, Sergeant Jacobus Henning and Sergeant Daniel Jacob Benjamin de Bruin.
