Memorial service and lecture for Mama Sisulu

Premier of the North West Province Mme Thandi Modise will tomorrow, 10 June 2011 in Rustenburg, lead a memorial service in remembrance of the late Mama Albertina Sisulu.

The three hour service which will be held at the Ben Marais Hall in Rustenburg will start at 11h00 until 14h00 in the afternoon. During this time the Premier is expected to deliver a memorial lecture in memory of the late Mama Sisulu, affectionately called, mother of the nation.

“Today you are deservedly rested and quiet. But your voice reverberates all over South Africa and the world through your good works. Your voice surely serves as a conscience to us who remain behind. Thank you for your sacrifices and love for all of us. A history, worth emulating. Your legacy is being kept alive by your children and comrades, and will continue to inspire many for generations to come, “said Premier Modise acknowledging Mama Sisulu’s selfless sacrifice in ensuring the liberation of the people of South Africa.
