North West MEC for Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Paul Sebegoe will on Tuesday, 19 April 2011, join Premier Thandi Modise when she officially opens the North West House of Traditional Leaders. The event will commence at 9am, at the Traditional House Chambers (Old Parliament Building).
Other dignitaries expected to attend will include representatives from the National House of Traditional Leaders as well as members from other Provincial Houses of Traditional Leaders. At the same event, both Premier Modise and MEC Sebegoe will hand over 26 vehicles to be used by traditional councils for official duties.
Meanwhile, a process to reconstitute traditional councils in the Ngaka Modiri Molema, Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati and Bojanala districts will commence on 18 April to 12 May 2011.
