The Northern Cape Department of Health cordially invites you to the Medical Male Circumcision Campaign in the Frances Baard District that is being embarked on next week. It has been proven that Medical Male Circumcision can reduce the transmission of HIV from female to male by 60%.
We should remember that circumcision does not prevent HIV, STIs and pregnancy so we need to always use a condom even if circumcised.
The service is rendered free of charge at the facilities. The campaign mainly targets males from 15 to 49 years but will accommodate those above the age. The parents or guardians should provide consent for children less than 18 years.
All the clients who present themselves for the procedure will be tested for HIV. Clients will be served on a first come basis.
