Media launch of the eKhaya Villages and Bok Day

The Minister of Sport and Recreation, Mr Fikile Mbalula, accompanied by South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) President, Gideon Sam, and South African Rugby Union (SARU) President, Oregan Hoskins, will launch the eKhaya Villages for Team - SA, participating in the All Africa games in Mocambique, and International Rugby Board (IRB) Rugby World Cup in New Zealand for the Springboks.

The eKhaya concept is part of the government-led programme to help our teams to have a home away from home feeling, during the international sporting showcases. This takes place within the Bok Day supporter mobilisation process.

During the event, Minister Mbalula will also launch the Legendary Andrew Mlangeni jackets and unveil the list of the recipients of the Minister's Excellence Awards as part of the South African Sport Awards 2011 festivities, which started in June and the grand-finale in August at the Sun City Superbowl.

The details for the eKhaya launch are as follows:
Date: 29 July 2011
Time: 10h00 to 12h00
Venue: Freedom Park Amphitheatre - Salvokop (Pretoria)
