Media invite: World food Day

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Honourable Tina Joemat-Pettersson invites you to a World Food Day Summit to honour the 2010 World Food Day

Organised under the theme: "Fighting hunger to achieve food security for all", the summit, to be attended by organised agriculture, the agriculture industry and other industries impacting on the natural resources, the research and academic institutions and consumer protection organisations, will among others focus on:

  • review of the current food security strategy
  • the role of the public private partnership in poverty alleviation programmes
  • funding mechanisms to ensure "food for all".

Ben Schoeman Highway R28

When taking the Ben Schoeman Highway R28 go straight down Potgieter Street one way) until you reach Vermeulen Street. Turn right into Vermeulen Street (one way); continue until you cross Prinsloo Street. The South African Reserve Bank's entrance to the parking area is on the right hand side of the road in Vermeulen Street (corner of Prinsloo and Vermeulen Streets).

Nelson Mandela R21

When taking the Nelson Mandela R21 go straight down Nelson Mandela Drive, turn left into Proes Street (one way), cross Du Toit Street and turn left into Prinsloo Street and left into Vermeulen Street. The South African Reserve Bank's entrance to the parking garage is on the right hand side of the road in Vermeulen Street (corner of Prinsloo and Vermeulen Streets).
