The Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform, Honourable Gugile Nkwinti, cordially invites members of the media to a media briefing that will take place at the Imbizo Centre in Parliament at 4.30 pm tomorrow, 7 June 2011.
Minister Nkwinti will deliver his budget speech to the National Assembly from 2pm tomorrow.
The Minister will hold his media briefing shortly after he has delivered his budget speech to the National Assembly.
The briefing is meant to give the representatives of the media an opportunity to seek clarity on certain issues that they would like to know in the policy speech.
The budget speech will cover a range of critical issues involving the mandate of the new Department of Rural Development and Land Reform. The department is tasked by the government to roll out comprehensive rural development, implement land reform and coordinate poverty eradication programmes in the country.
Journalists attending will be given an opportunity to ask the Minister questions pertaining to his budget speech.
Members of the media are urged to take advantage of this opportunity.
