The National Youth Development Agency in partnership with South African National Non-Governmental Organisation Coalition (SANGOCO) Western Cape and other stakeholders are hosting 2 500 young people in a one day Youth Skills Summit which is aimed at responding to the lack of access to relevant education, training, skills development and employment opportunities for youth within the Cape Metropole.

The summit themed ‘Unblocking Skills and Creating Jobs’ is targeted at  unemployed youth and social partners, national provincial and local government departments, Services Sector Education and Training Authority (SETAs), business, educational institutions, non-governmental organisations’ (NGOs), youth structures and many others.

The summit will be divided into three components: dialogue session, info-sharing workshops as well as an interactive exhibition and expo.

Speakers will include the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Marius Fransman, Chief Executive Officer of NYDA Mr Steven Ngubeni, Chairperson of SANGOCO Western Cape and several other key role-players.
