The Minister of Public Works, Honourable GL Mahlangu-Nkabinde cordially invites you to a media briefing on the outcomes of a joint MINMEC meeting to be attended by all stakeholders, including, the Deputy Minister, MEC’s, departmental heads and other officials.
Background:
The meeting of the national Minister with the MECs from different provinces will focus amongst others, on
- feedback on resolutions arrived at in the previous MINMEC held on the 24 January 2011 in Gauteng
- the progress on Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) projects
- campaigns by the department, including new campaigns to be launched in the near future.
It is intended that the meeting will also focus on specific provincial job creation plans, geared towards maximising the department’s contribution towards job creation and poverty alleviation.
