The Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) and the South African Veterinary Association (SAVA) invite members of the media to a breakfast media briefing for World Veterinary Day.
The department through its Directorate Animal Health and Veterinary Public Health continues to promote the value of vaccination and the importance of using vaccination of companion and production animals to protect these animals against diseases that can affect not only them, but humans too.
On the day, the focus will be on the prevention and control of diseases such as Rabies, FMD, AHS, NCD, Anthrax and Brucellosis amongst others.
