Western Cape MEC for Transport and Public Works Robin Carlisle to brief the media on integrated public transport and the importance of one timetable for public transport in the city

Transport and Public Works MEC Robin Carlisle, will be briefing the media on the integration of public transport in the city and the vital role that a single timetable plays in achieving integration and accessibility for the millions of commuters that use public transport to commute on a daily basis.

MEC Carlisle will be joined by representatives from the public transport industry, namely Golden Arrow Bus Services, Metrorail, MyCiti, University of Cape Town (UCT) Jammie Shuttle and the mini-bus taxi industry.

The Cape Town founders of WhereIsMyTransport, Devin de Vries and Chris King, will also be presenting FindMyWay (www.findmyway.mobi), which is a free public service website, designed to make the lives of commuting Capetonians easier by enabling access to all modes of public transport information from their cellular phones. The site currently contains information pertaining to Golden Arrow Bus Services, Metrorail, MyCiti and UCT Jammie Shuttles.
