Water and Sanitation briefs media on World Water Day, 22 Mar

Members of the media are invited to a World Water Day (WWD) media briefing taking place on Thursday morning in Observatory Cape Town, 22 March 2018.

On 22nd and 23rd March 2018, the Western Cape Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) will host World Water Day in Cape Town which is aimed at engaging Diplomats of various states who are based in South Africa. This will include informing them of steps to counter the effects of the prevailing drought conditions nationally and in the Western Cape in particular.

The WWD takes place on 22 March every year, to focus attention on the increasing importance of water. This year’s theme, ‘Water for Nature’, explores the nature-based solutions (NBS) to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.
