Transport Minister Ms Dipuo Peters will on Wednesday, 18 September 2013 brief media on the Department of Transport's Strategy, interventions and programmes aimed at addressing the road carnage in South Africa.
The briefing will focus on the role of government as the custodian and enforcer of road traffic legislation. The Minister will also pay attention to the role of other sectors of society, i.e. business and civil society. The department will also address the economic implications of road crashes and fatalities in particular.
