Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Mrs Edna Molewa will host a media briefing to release the Final Second National Water Resources Strategy in Pretoria on Wednesday 3 July 2013. The Strategy sets out the vision, principles, goals and strategic actions for achieving effective water management in South Africa.
The NWRS2 builds on the achievements of the first National Water Resources Strategy which was published in 2004. The release of this document comes after broad consultation within the water sector coupled with extensive public hearings conducted through-out the country.
